Digital System Development for Poultry Management at Toman Sedayu Nauli

Toman Sedayu Nauli is a company based in Sibolga, North Sumatra, Indonesia, currently operating in the livestock sector with a focus on poultry farming. To support its operational needs, Toman Sedayu Nauli initiated the development of a web-based management system tailored specifically for poultry farming activities. This project was carried out through a collaboration with Mr. Evan, a UI/UX designer from Telkom University, while our team was responsible for the full-stack web development, contributing to both system implementation and feature enhancement to ensure practical usability.

The system centers around an admin dashboard designed to simplify and structure daily farm operations. Key features include:

• Poultry period management (batch-based lifecycle tracking)
• Daily records within each operational period
• Feed consumption history tracking
• Sales history and transaction records
• Incoming message management

The platform is built using Next.js with a clean architecture approach, styled using Tailwind CSS, and deployed via Vercel to ensure efficient development and streamlined deployment.

While measurable impact is still being observed as the system continues to be utilized, the platform is designed to provide a more structured and centralized way to manage poultry operations, reducing reliance on fragmented manual processes and enabling better data organization.

This system also serves as an initial step toward broader digitalization, with future potential to support additional business units as Toman Sedayu Nauli expands into agriculture and service industries.

1. The Operational Command Center (Main Dashboard)

The primary entry point for administrators, the Main Dashboard, provides a panoramic view of all farm operations.

• Period Orchestration: A responsive grid system displays biological growth "periods," clearly distinguishing between Active and Archived cycles using high-contrast badges.
• Intelligent Discovery: Features an asymmetric filtering engine allowing for instant lookups by period name, specific months, or fiscal years.
• Actionable UI: A prominent "Buat Periode Baru" (New Period) flow allows operators to initialize new growth cycles with critical starting data like initial weight and chicken counts.

2. The Lifecycle (Period Detail Page)

This is the most technically dense module, serving as the daily "workhorse" for farm operators.

• Catatan Harian (Daily Logs): A chronological feed of biological data. It tracks daily mortality, culling (afkir), and average weights, automatically calculating the "Sold Percentage" per day.
• Histori Pakan (Logistics Hub): A dedicated tab for managing feed inventory. It tracks restock shipments versus daily consumption, providing a real-time "Ketersediaan Pakan" (Feed Availability) balance.
• Commercial Output (Penjualan): An audit-ready table of sales data, tracking buyers, tonnage, and exact headcounts.
• Real-Time KPI Sidebar: A floating analytics engine that persists as the user navigates tabs, providing instant updates on FCR (Feed Conversion), IP (Performance Index), and OVK (Total Depletion).

3. The Client Engagement Hub (Dashboard Pesan)

The Pesan Page acts as the bridge between the public-facing brand and the administrative team.

• Lead Management: Centralizes all inquiries submitted via the website's contact forms into a secure, authenticated inbox.
• Operational Efficiency: Allows administrators to review, manage, and clear inquiries, ensuring that client communications are handled with the same precision as the farm's biological data.

4. The System Console (Settings Page) & Email Page

The Pengaturan Page serves as the brain for global system behavior and security.

• Global Data Syncing: Administrators can set the "Kapasitas Kandang" (Farm Capacity), a value that dynamically hydrates the "Sektor" section of the public website.
• Security & Profile Management: A robust account management module where administrators can update credentials. It features a mandatory "Current Password" verification layer to prevent unauthorized profile hijacking.
• Data Initialization: Integrated logic to ensure administrative profiles are correctly initialized with secure defaults.
